Kirton Top Freshman; Mitchell Runs Personal Best at Meet of Champions

TOMS RIVER, NJ -  Simone Kirton was the fastest freshman hurdler and Will Mitchell ran a personal record in the 3200-meter run on Saturday as they represented Chatham at the Indoor Track Meet of Champions held in the Bennett Center.

Kirton's 8.63 placed her 18th overall in the 55-meter hurdles, but posted the best time among the freshman competing at the Meet of Champions.

Mitchell was 21st overall in a personal record time of 9:44.
