“Everyone participates and helps out,” stated Mayor Rudy Fernandez.

The money generated benefits many groups that rely on state grants to run, such as: The Children’s Theater of Livingston, The Special Olympics, The Essex County ARC, The First Aid Squad, Seeing Eye, Little league, and the Auxiliary Police.

“It is Kiwanians generating money to give back to the community,” said Mayor Fernandez.

The food is also handled by the Kiwanians.

“This year, you can expect to see everything from kids rides to larger ones that they will never get me on,” stated Mayor Fernandez, with a laugh.

“And, it would not be a carnival without sausages and peppers, or funnel cake,” he added.

Most of us take our fingers and hands and elbows ...
