“A TASTE OF ITALY” DINNER celebrates its 70th anniversary. All are invited!
The Knights of Columbus Council 783 is celebrating the 70th anniversary of its “A taste of Italy” dinner on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2013, 4 PM TO 6:30 PM at OUR LADY OF PEACE AUDITORIUM, 111 SOUTH STREET, NEW PROVIDENCE.
The Knights of Columbus, Council 783, serves Little Flower, Our Lady of Peace and St. Teresa’s parishes. This annual Italian feast, originally called "The Spaghetti Supper," was started at Our Lady of Peace by Rose Mazzucco and friends in 1943. In fact, they still use Rose’s original recipe for the spaghetti sauce. The Knights, with the help of parishioners from all three parishes, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights, and community friends carry on this tradition.
The menu for dinner at the auditorium at Our Lady of Peace or for takeout includes a choice of or all of the following: "Mazzucco" Spaghetti and Meatballs, Italian Sausage and Peppers, and Cavatelli and Broccoli. Included with your dinner are salad, fresh baked Italian rolls, beverages and Nasto’s ice cream desserts. The prices are as follows: Adults $15.00, Seniors $12.00, Children 6 to 12 years old $ 5.00, and Children under 6 are free. (The maximum for a family is $35.00.) Bring your friends and come out for a great evening!
