SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Piscataway Vo-Tech’s Jordan Lackey scored 18 points, and Piscataway Vo-Tech Raider’s Kyle Wider hit back to back three point shots late in the fourth quarter to hold on to defeat the South Plainfield Tigers 47-43.
South Plainfield who trailed most of the game rallied to take a 33-32 lead entering the final quarter. South Plainfield’s comeback was led by Jordan Hankerson who had 18 points in the game, and 13 second half points. Hankerson’s bucket with 1:16 left in the third quarter gave South Plainfield their first lead of the game at 31-30.
The Raiders’ Kyle Wider’s back to back three point shots, and eight consecutive points in the fourth quarter would put Piscataway Vo-Tech up for good. The Raiders’ Aziz Austin’s three point play in the final seconds of regulation would ice the game for Piscataway Vo-Tech.
