EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - It was certainly not the way the Lady Bears of East Brunswick High School envisioned the season would end. The Lady Bears seemed to just wear out as the season ended, losing their third straight game to end the year. This one a disheartening 40-32 loss to West Windsor North on their home floor on Monday night.
It was game that the Lady Bears were in an uphill climb in from early on, and before they knew it, they looked up at halftime and were trailing 24-8. Tyler Cruz led a balanced West Windsor attack with 11 points. The Lady Bears made a game of it in the second half, but the deficit was too much to overcome. Allie Warren had 11 points and Julia Simoes had 10 in defeat for the Lady Bears
Despite the three game losing streak to end the year, the Lady Bears surely will look back on thie season with good feelings about their 16-7 overall record, and much to look forward to for next year.
