EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The East Brunswick Lady Bears Girls Lacrosse team faced a formidable task on Wednesday, travelling to Basking Ridge to face mighty Ridge High School on their home field in the first round of the state Lacrosse tournament.  Despite a very successful regular season, the task proved to be as difficult as feared, as Ridge came out on fire, blazing their way to a huge 14-3 halftime lead, and the second seeded Red Devils cruised to a 16-3 victory over the fifteenth seeded Lady Bears.

The Lady Bears got goals from Daniela Costanzo, Kayla Kennedy, and Taylor McNamara, however three different Ridge players scored three goals each in the first half onslaught.

The loss dropped the Lady Bears overall record to 11-8, while the Red Devils advance to the next round with a 16-3 record.
