Joseph Cionzynski, 60, the Lansdale resident charged with taking cell phone photos of a young boy in the bathroom of Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World in August 2013, had his Florida trial continued to June, according to The Reporter Online.
Cionzynski, of the 300 block of Perkiomen Avenue, is charged in Florida with felony video voyeurism of a child under 16, per court records. Cionzynski faces up to 15 years in prison.
According to the report, Cionzynski's lawyer needs more time to prepare for the trial.
Police said Cionzynski was caught allegedly taking cell phone photos of an 8-year-old boy as he sat on the toilet in the restroom at the theme park. Cionzynski allegedly took the photos from under a partition.
The boy told his mother, and they tracked down Cionzynski in the bathroom by his shoes, police said. This was the only thing the boy had seen to identify his alleged voyeur, police said.
Cionzynski, a Boy Scout leader, told police he "understood" the allegations and wanted to resolve the "minor misunderstanding," per court records.
No photos of the boy were found on Cionzynski's cell phone photo album, but there were two photos of male genitalia, police said.
Cionzynski is free on Florida bond on $5,000 cash. He also posted his $25,000 cash bail after his Lansdale preliminary hearing on a fugitive warrant.
Cionzynski is banned from all Walt Disney property.
