SUMMIT, NJ - Michael Lapotasky, who was approved as Summit High School (SHS) Assistant Principal in December, has begun his role at the school.
Lapotasky joined the SHS administrative staff from Warren Hills Regional School District, where he was Supervisor of Language Arts and Social Studies since July 2012. In his new role at Summit High School, he will be tasked with student conduct issues, activities, and testing and building supervision. Lapotasky will also work on emergency services and safety and security, which is his area of expertise.
"I am honored to become a part of the Hilltopper community and school family,” said Lapotasky. “The Summit Public Schools have an excellent reputation throughout the state, not only for their community-oriented approach, but for great successes in academics, athletics, student life, and student outcomes. I am humbled by the opportunity, and I am already feeling quite welcomed and at home amongst the staff and the administrative team. I have high hopes for the things that, together, we will be able to accomplish."
Summit High School Principal Paul Sears welcomed Lapotasky during last week's winter break. "The administrative team and staff of Summit High School are excited about welcoming Michael to Hilltopper Community. He will add much and bring a fresh perspective to our school."
