The Union County Rape Crisis Center is seeking County residents who are interested in becoming Volunteer Confidential Sexual Violence Advocates. The advocates are trained to provide a reassuring presence in the aftermath of an assault, and to help victims know their rights and legal options. The next training session begins on September 21.

"Advocates can make all the difference in helping a fellow Union County resident get through a stressful situation and emerge with strength and confidence," said Freeholder Chairman Daniel P. Sullivan. "We are extremely proud of their efforts, and grateful for their services."
