"Let Freedom Ring: the Coretta Scott King Story" at Summit Public Library Jan. 16

January 14, 2014 at 3:55 PM

SuMMIT, NJ -  The Summit Free Public Library will present “Let Freedom Ring: the Coretta Scott King Story” on January 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Via the concept of a “Freedom Concert”, which Ms. King performed all over the United States and Europe, actress/singer Carmen Artis brings the historic legacy of the legendary Coretta Scott King to life, chronicling the Civil Rights struggle through music and narrative.
The story Ms. King shares is her own.  From her humble upbringing in rural Alabama and partnership with Martin Luther King Jr., this living biography will fascinate, inform, and entertain all.

This free program is open to all, but seating is limited.  First come, first seated.

The Summit Free Public Library is located at 75 Maple Street.  The telephone number is 908 / 273-0350.   Visit the library’s website at www.summitlibrary.org.
