LIVINGSTON, NJ – The second annual Livingston High School Season Kick-Off and Pep Rally was held Aug. 25, hosted by the Livingston Football Parents Association (LFPA) and organized by LFPA President Adam Slavitt.
“It’s a great way to start off the season,” said Slavitt.
The pep rally, which included a pig roast and meals provided by “QCrew BBQ Catering Co.,” was open to the community this year as well as to the LHS cheerleaders, LHS marching band and the Jr. Football team.
Cheerleading coach Maddie Gill said, “We are excited to be here to have a great time and a great season.”
Superintendent James O’Neill and Business Administrator of the Livingston Board of Education Steven K. Robinson were also in attendance.
Athletic Director Patrick Genovo, Head Coach Barry Kostibos and Jr. Cheerleading Coach Jen Hine provided introductions and wishes for a successful season prior to the rally.
Also, Genovo expressed thanks to Slavitt and the LFPA for their support as well as Robinson for new upgrades to equipment.
“We have a new ticket booth that we’re very excited about,” added Genovo.
In addition, “Discount Lancer Cards,” which are coupons for local merchants and one of the football team’s fundraisers, were for sale at the event.
