Lightbridge Academy of Westfield, a Scotch Plains family-owned child care, recently donated $500 to purchase PPE equipment for the Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Lightbridge Academy embodies the brand’s Circle of Care philosophy by actively looking for ways to support the local community. “Each month we research ways to give back to this wonderful community that we have the privilege of serving,” said owner Sue Romano.
Lightbridge Academy has a firm foundation build on a set of core values with their Circle of Care philosophy. The philanthropic activities are also taught through their proprietary Seedlings Early Education Program, which includes a Kindness curriculum. At a very early age, children learn empathy, generosity and the importance of giving back. The younger a child begins the discussion, the more it becomes a matter of practice and habit continuing into adulthood.
“We are so grateful for the opportunity to foster the spirit of giving,” Ms. Romano shared. “Not to mention, proud to be part of a town that values education and cares deeply for the residents and businesses.”
