LINDEN, NJ – Linden’s newest attraction, Launch Trampoline Park, is “officially” opened for business after Saturday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Mayor Derek Armstead, Council President Jorge Alvarez, and Council members Peter Brown, Rhashonna Cosby, John Francis Roman, Armando Medina, and Gretchen Hickey were all front and center to welcome the company’s founder, retired NFL player Ty Law and the owners of the Linden franchise.
“We welcome them to our town,” said Armstead. “This particular location has been struggling for some time so we are just glad that they would invest here.”
Law, a retired NFL cornerback who was a three-time Super Bowl Champion with the New England Patriots, started launch. Unlike many players who want the high-profile life of owning a bar or fancy restaurant, Law and his business advisors focused on a business for its financial merits alone.
“It was a dream to make this come true,” said Law. “We thought Linden would be a great town and great opportunity for Launch and we are looking forward to a long, lasting relationship for years to come.”
Launch combines the thrill of an extreme sport and the exercise of a high-intensity workout to appeal to people of all ages and fitness levels.
Franchise owner Lee Miao and her staff were extremely excited about the facility and all it has to offer.
“I wanted to provide kids opportunity to not only focus on their computer and iPad but have a place where they can exercise and do some fun things,” said Miao. “We work with organizations who host fundraisers and schools and have the facility open for walk-ins. We have a lot of programs here to offer those who visit us.”
Launch Trampoline Park is located at 1601 West Edgar Road, Unit 7A.
