LIVINGSTON, NJ - Playing live at National Night Out on August 5 will be The Red Light Band and Pastele. The Red Light Band is a Livingston-based jam band playing timeless acts like Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Phish, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Velvet Underground, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, and Joe Walsh. Pastele, featuring lead singer Brittany Dippold of Livingston, recently placed fifth on VH1’s “Make a Band Famous”.
Scheduled attractions will include the opening ceremony at 5:30 p.m., helicopter landing at 6:00 p.m., performance by Pastele at 6:00 p.m., Complete Martial Arts demonstration at 7:00 p.m. near the stage, Red Light Band on the stage at 7:30 p.m., raffle drawing at 8:00 p.m., and a demonstration of Sonny Croughn’s trike “D.A.R.E. 2B Bad” in front of Livingston High School at 8:30 p.m.. At dusk, the “Movie Under the Stars” will be shown. This year’s movie, as voted on by Livingston’s children, will be “The Lego Movie,”
Livingston’s event is generously supported by donations from Handcrafters, Step It Up Events, Pepsi, Quick Mart, PSE&G, beige and blanc, AT&T, Formosa Plastics, and Jan Press Photomedia.

In case of rain, the event will be held inside Livingston High School.
