The three Board of Education candidates, Pam Chirls, Soumitra Rathod and David Jasin will present their views at the Old Guard meeting on Tuesday morning, October 9, at SCC from 10:30 to 11:30AM. This is a free public meeting and residents are encouraged to attend.
The program will be moderated by Stan Graboski and will open with each candidate allowed five minutes to introduce themselves followed by a question and answer period.
The three candidates are running for two open seats on the local school board.
Livingston voters will vote for the school board candidates for the first time in the general election on November 6. The election time was moved as a result of a new state law signed last January that gave districts the option to move their elections from April to November.
