LIVINGSTON, NJ - On Thursday, Feb. 20, the Livingston Police and Traffic Division along with the NJ State Bus Inspection Division set up a surprise roadside stop on Okner Parkway to inspect busses passing through for safety.
69 buses were inspected, 41 of which received summons for various reasons including equipment violations, registration violations, and insurance violations. Two buses were impounded for reportedly not following state regulations and for not having proper registration.
According to Sgt. Anthony Dippold, most buses inspected were from towns outside of Livingston transporting children with special needs to Horizon School in Livingston.
