LIVINGSTON, NJ – The Livingston Municipal Court settled two case for the week of Aug. 3 through Aug. 9.
Freddy Figueroa of Elizabeth was charged with theft for stealing several pieces of cast iron from the Easton Management Cooperation.
Figueroa pleaded guilty to an amended charge of creating a disturbance and was sentenced to pay a fine of $150 and $33 in court cost fees.
Rigoberto Tun of Fairview was charged with DWI, careless driving, driving without a license, failure to exhibit a registration, and failure to exhibit an insurance card.
All charges, save for the charges of DWI and failure to exhibit an insurance card, were dismissed as part of a plea agreement. For the insurance card offence, Tun received a $156 fine and $33 in court cost fees. For the charge of DWI, Tun was sentenced to pay fines of $306, $33 in court cost fees, $50 to the Victim of Crime Compensation Fund, $75 to the Safe Neighborhood Fund and a $200 DWI surcharge fee. In addition, his ability to get a license has been suspended for seven months and he must also attend the intoxicated driver recourse center for 12 hours.
