LIVINGSTON, NJ – Livingston-headquartered Employer’s Association of New Jersey (EANJ), in conjunction with QualCare, provides an alternative plan for NJ employers to purchase affordable healthcare for their employees. The plan is fully compliant with the Affordable Care Act, and offers employers a choice from 12 different plans as well as access to QualCare’s network of hospitals and doctors.
EANJ is a nonprofit association based on promoting labor issues and was established in 1916.
John Sarno, president of EANJ said, “We are enrolling approximately 90 new employers per month. It is a very popular health plan for small and mid-sized employers statewide.”
More than 1,250 employers are now receiving healthcare from the plan.
Sarno said that EANJ sponsors a MEWA plan to its members, and QualCare acts as administrator. According to the EANJ website, a MEWA is a self-insured group benefits plan that permits employers of any size to have the same choice of plans and premium savings as a big corporation with thousands of employees.
