August 19, 2014 at 10:02 PM

ROSELLE, NJ - Emmy Award winning TV personality Brenda Blackmon and author Azuka Zuke were in Roselle for a joint book signing on Tuesday night at the Roselle Public Library.

The former Channel 9 news anchor met with members of the community and discussed her book “A Mom’s Story” and the charity she founded, The Kelly Fund for Lupus, Inc., a tribute to her daughter Kelly who has Lupus.

“A Mom’s Story” describes Blackmon’s journey and emotions she experienced while waiting for her daughter to recover from a debilitating attack caused by the illness. All proceeds from sales of the book go towards lupus research and fund raising efforts.

Author Azuka Zuke also spoke about his two books, “The Power To Excel” and his newest book “The 9 Power Principles For Change.” Both are available in book and audio book on Amazon.com.

They both spoke to the community about their books, and Blackmon talked about her organization to raise awareness and funds for a cure for lupus.

Both authors promote positivity and life affirmations in their publications. Blackmon stated that she now lives in Tennessee, but gladly made the trip to New Jersey to attend the book signing with Azuke. “It was just meant to be and I am delighted to be in Roselle with such fine people,” said Blackmon.
