PATERSON, NJ - Saying that small businesses will find it difficult to grow if they don’t have a firm handle on and understanding of their finances, local entrepreneur Luisa Nunez told TAPinto Paterson that she brought her expertise back to Paterson in the form of Premier Financial Group because she wants to contribute to her hometown.
Located along one of Paterson's most vibrant business corridors, Nunez, along with her business partner, Gustavo Camarena, celebrated the opening of their new business located at 307 21st Avenue with a ribbon cutting on Saturday.
Taking a lead on welcoming Premier Financial Group was City Council President Martiza Davila who shared her belief that it’s important to support small businesses. Referring to Nunez as a friend Davila offered her appreciation for the business owner’s decision to invest in the city while also calling special attention to its status as a woman owned business.
Councilman Al Abdelaziz, who represents the Sixth Ward where the business is located, said that the opening is yet another example that “business is booming” as a result of the clean and safe streets they’ve brought to the neighborhoods through a “cohesive bond between residents and businesses” while Fifth Ward Councilman Luis Velez suggested it’s not just enough to support them on their opening day but also to use their services to make them successful.
“This is a proud day for Paterson,” Mayor Andre Sayegh who had just presided over another ribbon cutting on Montgomery Street said. “Paterson is getting better as a result of Premier Financial Group.”
