PATERSON, NJ - An investigation is ongoing into the circumstances of a shooting that left a 41-year-old Long Branch injured on Friday.

In a joint statement  Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes. Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora, and Haledon Police Chief Angelo J. Daniele announced that at approximately 7:08 p.m. members of the Haledon Police Department were flagged down in the area of Henry Street and Lee Avenue in Haledon by the victim who suffered multiple non-fatal gunshot wounds. 

The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. Based on the initial investigation it is believed the victim was shot in the area of North 8th Street and Belmont Avenue in Paterson.
