BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ While many school holidays have been shifted around in recent years, Bernards Township students still have their traditional long Memorial Day weekend to look forward to, with days off from school on both Friday, May 24, and Memorial Day itself on Monday, May 27.

Monday is also a holiday for Bernards Township. All municipal offices also will be closed on Memorial Day.

Bernards Township Library also will be closed on Memorial Day. However, the library, located at 32 S. Maple Ave., will be open on Saturday and Sunday this weekend, with programming planned on both days.

It's the last holiday for students on the 2018-19 school calendar before the last day of the school year, which is scheduled as a shortened day on Wednesday, June 19. Graduation for William Annin Middle School students is scheduled for June 19, and Ridge High School's graduation is set for June 20 for the Class of 2019.

The annual Bernards Township Memorial Parade, which this year is being hosted by the Liberty Corner Fire Co., is scheduled to step off from the firehouse on Church Street at 9 a.m. on Monday.
