FANWOOD, NJ -- Two of downtown Fanwood's best known merchants are trying to help an adorable little kitten find a home.

Marci Semel, the owner of Mara's Cafe, noticed a tiny black kitten curled up in a ball outside one of the cafe's planters.

"The kitten was just sitting outside a planter, looking very scared.  I can't have the cat in Mara's, so Amy (Boroff) offered to keep her inside Be Craftful," Marci explained.  "She's a healthy cat, not a stray.  I hope someone can give her a permanent home."
A foster parent has been found for the time being.  Anyone who is interested in offering a home to this kitten can email
