LP Woman Accepts Plea Deal After Stabbing Mother

May 21, 2014 at 10:54 AM

An Eagleville woman who admitted to stabbing her mother with a steak knife as she watched television in 2012 has accepted a plea deal in court.

According to a report in the Times Herald, Lauren Kimmel, 33, accepted a bargain to participate in the Montgomery County Behavioral Health system and plead guilty to one count of aggravated assault stemming from an Aug. 28, 2012 incident.

On that date, Lower Providence Police Department responded to the Eaglestream Apartments on Chaise Lane for a “disturbance” call. There they found Kimmel atop her mother with one hand on her mouth and another around her neck, according to police reports.

Reports state that while the mother was watching television, Kimmel stabbed her with a four-inch steak knife near the heart stating “I want my life back.”
