The Morristown Area League of Woman Voters cordially invites the public to celebrate our Centennial Celebration Day of Action on Sunday, February 16, 2020.  We will gather briefly at the fountain on the Morristown Green at 3:30 pm wearing traditional suffragette imagery and process along South Street to the Iron Bar, arriving at the tavern by 4:00 pm.  We are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the formation of the League of Woman Voters which was organized nationally on February 14, 1920.  The Iron Bar tavern was selected to honor the polling locations where nineteenth century voters gathered to cast their ballots.  We will be recording vignettes from attendees focused on “What the League has meant to you in your own life”.

The public is welcome to gather with us to celebrate and learn more about the work that the modern League of Woman Voters does.  There will be a cash bar and a $10.00 donation to cover food costs.

Please RSVP to Rozella Clyde (rozella.clyde@gmail/917-355-4451 by Feb 10th and indicate if you will join our parade or meet us at the Iron Bar.
