Madison Baseball Team Beats Jefferson, 9-2

MADISON, NJ - Pitcher Jack Donald took a shutout into the seventh inning and finished with a six-hitter as the Madison varsity baseball team defeated Jefferson, 9-2, on Wednesday.

Tim Azzolini hit a two run double in the third inning to give Madison (9-7) a 3-0 lead. Azzolini finished with two hits in three at-bats. Madison scored four more runs in the fifth inning on two-run singles by Ian Weber and Zack Evans to extend the lead to 7-0.

Evans and Tyler Pilat each had two hits for the Dodgers, who pounded out nine hits.

Donald struck out three batters and issued just one walk in pitching the complete game.
