Madison Baseball Team Routs Butler, 11-2

MADISON, NJ - The Madison varsity baseball team rode an 11-hit attack and a strong pitching performance by Jack Donald to an 11-2 victory over Butler on Wednesday.

Donald, a sophomore, pitched six innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs, walked just one and struck out two.

The game was tied, 2-2, before the Dodgers (4-2) scored eight runs in the fifth inning to take a 10-2 lead. Junior Ryan Higgins and sophomore Brian Chinni each drove in two runs. Tim Azzolini, Ian Weber and Mike Martirano each delivered two hits in the victory.

On the mound, Blake Fielding finished up with a scoreless seventh inning.
