MADISON, NJ - The Madison boys varsity basketball team is winless no more. One game after falling just short of beating Morristown-Beard, the Dodgers got the best of Kinnelon, 53-51, on Tuesday at Madison High School.
Kevin Armstrong led the scoring surge for the Dodgers, with a game-high 16 points.
Madison led by 12 going into the fourth quarter, however Kinnelon found its offense in time to make a late run. Despite giving up 25 in the final period, the Dodgers held on for their first victory of the season.
Madison had eight players score in the game. Aside from Armstrong's 16 points, Gavin Wallace contributed 12 of his own.
The Dodgers are back in action on Friday when they host Roselle Park.
