RIDGEWOOD, NJ - The Madison High School boys ice hockey team picked up its third consecutive shutout following Friday night’s 3-0 result over Ridgewood at the Ice House in Hackensack.
Madison (3-0-1) has now outscored its last three opponents 11-0. Goalie Keaton Tom had a 22-save shutout. Aidan Niceberg had a goal and an assist, Jacob Erickson finished with a goal and an assist, Matt Gero finished with a goal and Sean Hoover had two assists.
Madison put in two goals in the second period following a scoreless first. Gero’s goal came on the power play. Ridgewood had a 23-20 advantage in shots on goal.
The Dodgers have a short turnaround as they play Morristown-Beard on Dec. 14 at Mennen Sports Arena at 8:15 p.m. Mo-Beard is 2-2 and on a two-game winning streak.
