MADISON, NJ - The Dodgers boys' lacrosse team has opened the season with a 2-2 record, with early-season victories over Cranford and Columbia.
Vince Sapio, Christian Scarpello and AJ Schmitz each have 10 or more goals during the first four games of the season.
Madison started the season with a 14-2 victory over Columbia on opening day, when Sapio scored four goals and goalie Reid Collins stopped six of the eight shots he faced.
The team's first win was followed by a tough 17-10 loss to Morristown-Beard. The Dodgers responded quickly, beating Cranford, 17-4, on Monday afternoon. Scapio, Scarpello and Andrew Kaye each scored four times in Madison's second victory.
In their latest game, an 11-5 loss to Kinnelon on Thursday, the Dodgers led early in the first quarter before the Colts outscored Madison 6-1 in the second half.
The Dodgers are back in action on Saturday when they host Millburn.
