MADISON, NJ - Children and their parents filled both sides of Main Street in Madison on Saturday for the annual Easter Fun Fest, organized by the Madison Chamber of Commerce.
At the corner of Waverly and Main streets, members of the Madison Chamber of Commerce ran a booth. Here, the Easter Bunny posed with children for pictures.
The Chamber of Commerce raffled off baskets of toys, candy and other prizes donated by local businesses. Attendees participated in a “guess how many jelly beans” event, the winner of which received an aquarium. Attendees also entered to win a new bicycle, donated by Peter Daniele of Rose City Collision and provided by the Madison Bicycle Shop.
To direct event goers, the Chamber of Commerce placed balloons outside the participating businesses. The businesses gave out candy- and toy-filled eggs to the children.
Ken Toumey, president of the Chamber of Commerce, said, "It’s one of the many things we do to attract residents and people outside of town to say hello to our merchants." Peter Daniele, vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce, added, “It’s good for the kids and the town. It’s a lot of fun.”
