Madison Girls Basketball Dropped by Villa Walsh

MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Villa Walsh Academy girls’ basketball team defeated Madison, 33-26, on Wednesday.

After scoring only six points in the first quarter, the Dodgers trailed by eight after the first eight minutes.

Madison held Villa Walsh to just four points in the second quarter, but trailed, 18-14, at the half.

However, after cutting the lead to two by the end of the third, Villa Walsh held the Dodgers to just two points in the fourth quarter, leading to their fifth victory of the year.

Madison’s Gaby Fuchs scored a game-high 10 points and also cleared 14 rebounds in the defeat.

The Dodgers return to the floor on Friday night when they host Hanover Park.
