At their annual Charitable Distribution Luncheon on May 9, the Rotary Club of Madison distributed $44,000 to 51 local and area non-profits in the following categories:
IMPROVING OUR COMMUNITY: Friends of Madison Shade Trees, Madison Christmas Committee, Madison Community Pool, Madison Fire Department, Madison May Day, St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, Sustainable Madison, Thursday Morning Club/Madison Community House.
SUPPORTING EDUCATION & YOUTH GROUPS: The Adult School of the Chathams, Madison & Florham Park, American Legion Post #43; Friends of the Madison Public Library; Girl Scouts of Northern NJ; Junior Achievement of NJ; Literacy Volunteers of Morris County; Madison Athletic Foundation; Madison Day Care Center; Madison Education Foundation; Madison High School Graduation Gala; Madison Junior School Athletic Organization; Madison Little League; Madison Music Association, NORWESCAP; Patriots Path Council, Boy Scouts of America, Team Eagle Foundation.

In addition, the Club will award $5,000 in college scholarships to high school seniors.
The distributed funds were raised during course of the year by participating in events such as Bottle Hill Day, Taste of Madison, Rotary Family Festival, Shred-It, and our annual 50/50 Raffle. The Club also sponsors donation jars for hunger-related causes.
The Rotary Club of Madison is celebrating its 90th Anniversary on May 23. During the course of these 90 years, the club has donated over $1.5M to local charities and non-profits, as well as funding local projects such as Dodge Field, Madison Rose Garden, and the town clock on Waverly Place.
