SUMMIT, NJ - For the sixth consecutive year, all 12 Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty (PPSIR) locations in Northern New Jersey -- including the Summit and Short Hills offices -- are once again partnering with 'Move For Hunger' to host a fall food drive through December 15.
'Move For Hunger' is a national non-profit organization based in Red Bank.
Non-perishable food items, such as peanut butter, tuna, pasta rice, beans, cereal, and canned soup / fruits / vegetables, will be collected at each Prominent Properties location. All of the donations will be picked up by local moving companies and delivered to food banks in the communities they serve.
Nearly 1 million people -- including one in seven children -- in New Jersey are food insecure. Recognizing the depth and urgency of the problem, Prominent Properties Sotheby's International Realty is once again seeking to inspire its communities to take action. Since 2013, PPSIR has collected more than 70,000 lbs. of food.
Donations can be dropped off during normal business hours -- Monday-Sunday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. -- at either location.
