Maltby Sets School Record in Javelin for Chatham

MILLBURN, NJ - Senior Morgan Maltby's 109'-2" javelin throw was the best of the day at the Millburn Relays, setting a Chatham school record in the event on Saturday.

Maltby teamed up with Jianna Caronan to gain third place in the javelin relay with a combined distance of 192' 6."  Maltby also teamed up with Erin Tencic, Amy Duren and Laura Walsh to earn 5th place in the Distance Medley Relay in 13:30.08, and was a member of the Sprint Medley Relay (Erin Tencic, Simone Kirton, Morgan Maltby, Laura Walsh)-4th place in 4:30.06

Also earning medals at the relays for Chatham were: 4x1600m Relay (Abbie Bigham, Maggie Schneider, Sarah Gotfredson, & Keren Hynes)-4th place in 24:29.94.

Shuttle Hurdle Relay (Liz Malatesta, Erin O'Connor, Keirsten King, Simone Kirton)-4th place in 1:09.19.
4x100m Relay (Rashida Haye, Sarah Prill, Olivia Perlmutter, Simone Kirton)-6th place in 53.0
Pole Vault Relay (Colleen O'Neill & Nicole Marsh)-5th place with combined jump of 15'

The girls also placed in both of the freshman and sophomore events:
Sprint Medley Relay (Amy Duren, Brigid Horan, Rashida Haye, Abbie Bigham)-3rd in 4:47.37
4x400m Relay (Amy Duren, Brigid Horan, Abby Cashel, Erin Tencic)-3rd in 4:40
