CORAL SPRINGS, FL – A 43-year-old man faces molestation-related charges for allegedly sexually abusing a child in a Coral Springs home.

Patrick Munn is accused of touching the child inappropriately with his hand and genitals, a police report said.

The incident allegedly happened on April 25 after Munn was trying to fix a vent in the girl’s bathroom.

The part in the police report that explained how Munn and the girl know each other was redacted.

According to the report, the girl told investigators that Munn questioned her about pictures of her on her phone and told her to pull down her pants.

He then allegedly touched her inappropriately, the report said.

The girl told investigators that Munn told her not to say anything to anyone about what happened because he didn’t want “to go back to prison,” the report said.

Once the girl’s mother found out, she called the police.

After the family confronted him, Munn allegedly denied doing anything inappropriate and then packed up his belongings and drove to Ohio, the report said.

Police charged him with sexual battery and two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, the report said.

He was taken into custody on Aug. 26.
