PATERSON, NJ - A Bronx, NY man struck by gunfire while driving in the area of East 31st Street between 11th Avenue and 12th Avenue became Paterson’s ninth murder victim Friday.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, law enforcement officials became aware of the incident at approximately 9:00 p.m. when the victim was dropped off at Alaris Health medical facility in Rochelle Park.

The report states that after Riquelvin Burgos-Nunez was struck he continued driving until he crashed into another vehicle and came to a stop in the area 749 Broadway.

At this point, the report states, two unknown individuals placed him into another vehicle and transported him to the healthcare facility where he was pronounced.
