This year the Maplewood Chamber of Commerce Annual Distinguished Service Award Dinner was held at Orange Lawn Tennis Club with a large for the Honoree, Sarah Lester Director of the Maplewood Library.

Speaking with Sarah Lester during the cocktail hour, she said “I’m truly honored by this award, especially since it is from the Business community. It means a lot to me personally and to the Library.”
According to Lorrain Labonne-Storch,the dinner turned out marvelously well, we were at full capacity! The speakers were quite eloquent and lavish in their praise for Sarah, and she gave a lovely speech as well.
Lorraine Labonne-Storch said: "One of the most rewarding parts of my job as Executive Director of the Chamber is working with our Board to select the recipient for the Distinguished Service Award. The process puts me in touch with so many talented, generous, engaging people who are passionate about what they do and committed to serving our community. Sarah Lester, this year's honoree, displays all those qualities and more; her enthusiasm and drive are an inspiration to us all."
Diana Galer, incoming President of the chamber said “we’re so pleased to honor Sarah and look forward to her continued contribution to the community. This event recognizes those who have made great contributions to the community and the continuity for the coming years.”
