MAPLEWOOD, NJ – The Maplewood Library is turning 100 years old this year, and it is celebrating its birthday with a benefit event called The Centennial Quiz Show, a family-friendly game show, at Columbia High School on Thursday, May 23.
All proceeds from this community-wide fundraiser will benefit the library, one of the town’s greatest resources and assets.
The entire community is invited to come share in the fun as individual contestants, teams or audience members. There will be birthday cake, souvenirs and prizes. Students, adults and seniors are all urged to participate.
Mayor Vic DeLuca will act as the game show host for the evening, and teams will compete, answering questions about the library, the town, and a special "100 Years" category. Expertise in town history is not required, as a free study guide with all the answers is included with ticket purchase.
