BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - First graders at the Mary Kay McMillin Early Childhood Center had the opportunity to meet with and learn from valued members of the community. Representatives from the Berkeley Heights Police Department, Fire Departement, Rescue Squad, SWAT Team, Department of Public Works and the Recreation Department were all on hand to give the students first hand accounts of their jobs, demonstrations and tours of their vehicles. The children were eager to ask questions andhad a great time learning about all the different groups that keep Berkeley Heights safe, or in some cases, fun like the recreation departmet.
