Masterwork Chorus to Host Community Summer Sings

The Masterwork Chorus will host its annual community Summer Sings beginning June18th and continuing every Wednesday through July 16th at 7:30 pm at the Chatham United Methodist Church, 460 Main Street (Route 124) in Chatham. Each week features a prominent area conductor leading singers in the masterworks of the choral repertoire with professional soloists and accompanist.  

Featured works and conductors include Orff’s Carmina Burana and Mendelssohn’s Hear My Prayer with Andrew Megill (June 18), Mozart’s Requiem and Ave Verum Corpus and Brahms’ Lass Dich Nur Nichts with Ryan Brandau (June 25), the Fauré Requiem and Vivaldi Gloria with Marina Alexander (July 2), the Verdi Requiem with Thomas Juneau (July 9), and the Brahms A German Requiem and the Fauré Cantique de Jean Racine with Sun Min Lee (July 16).

Admission to each sing is $14 and includes refreshments and loaner scores. Booklets containing five admission tickets are available for $60 and tickets may be shared.
