Matrix New World Engineering, Inc. (Matrix) is part of the team that was awarded a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Brownfields Grant.
Matrix, as a sub consultant, will be supporting the Fortune Society of New York on their effort to provide workforce development and job training to help fund the organization’s program to recruit, train and place formerly incarcerated people in green jobs assessing and cleaning up brownfields and other contaminated sites. Matrix’s role will be consulting on the types of training and experience they will need for particular jobs.
The Fortune Society is a nonprofit social service and advocacy organization, founded in 1967, whose mission is to support successful reentry from prison and promote alternatives to incarceration, thus strengthening the fabric of our communities.
