Alexander Anderson Real Estate Group, a leading real estate brokerage firm based in Hackensack, NJ, commemorated the grand opening of its newest office in Hudson County (840 Bergen Avenue, Jersey City, NJ) with a red carpet charity on Wednesday April 17th.
Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy attended in support of Hudson County’s newest boutique business and was given the honor of cutting the ribbon, officially welcoming Alexander Anderson to the city: “We're proud to welcome another boutique business to Jersey City. Small businesses are the backbone of the country. Almost 80% of the jobs in this area are from small businesses. Welcome to Jersey City – Alexander Anderson Real Estate Group and we'll do anything we can do to help you be successful,” he added jokingly, “ as long as it doesn't cost the taxpayers anything,” to applause and laughs from the crowd.
Members of Congress and the Jersey City Council also attended the event along with community leaders and business owners from throughout Hudson County. Guests were able to tour the new offices, learn about Alexander Anderson’s mission to help the community and small businesses grow, and explore the new properties available in the area.
The event benefitted The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-driven and donor-centered charity dedicated to raising money for lifesaving childhood cancer research. It is the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. In addition to donations from the event, Alexander Anderson Real Estate Group will be donating a percentage of the agency’s commission derived from their listing sales during April, May, and June. Radio personality Joe Bartlett (Host of "The WOR Morning Show"), a supporter of The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, was also in attendance to collect donations.
“We are grateful to the community of Jersey City for their support with the opening of our newest office,” said Eric Anderson, CEO of Alexander Anderson Real Estate Group. “We already have deep roots here in Jersey City when our agency was Alexander Realty and we look forward to continuing to grow here. Additionally, it is our mission to form alliances with all of the communities we work with, and to support local organizations such as the NJ Chapter of St. Baldrick’s Foundation.”
