Mayor Proclaims Amateur Radio Week June 23rd – 29th

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Mayor Matthew P. Anesh, Mayor of the Borough of South Plainfield on June 9, 2014, issued a proclamation declaring “Amateur Radio Week” for the week of June 23, 2014 through June 29, 2014. The Proclamation was received by the South Plainfield Amateur Radio Club (SPARC).  SPARC will be furnishing information on the celebration on “Field Day” which will be held at the Spring Lake Park Gazebo in South Plainfield on June 28th from 2 pm through 2 pm on June 29th.  This event will give visitors hands on demonstration of amateur radio.

SPARC is under the auspices of the Office of Emergency Management.  The club meets the third Wednesday of each month at the Office of Emergency Management.  The meetings are opened to anyone who is interested in joining the club.
