Mayor Robert Parisi Promotes Six West Orange Police Department Officers

WEST ORANGE, NJ – Six West Orange Police Department Officers were promoted in a ceremony held at the Wilshire Grand Hotel on April 24, 2014. Chief James Abbott introduced the officers and praised their successes, awards, and recognition throughout their years with the WOPD.

This is the second round of promotions for the department, the first occurring on March 4.  

Mayor Robert Parisi promoted the officers as their family members stood on the stage with them. The Loft at the Wilshire Grand was filled with family, friends, and fellow officers.

The following officers were promoted:

Captain Matthew Feula was promoted to Deputy Chief; Lieutenant Thomas Montesion was promoted to Captain; Lieutenant Timothy Brennen was promoted to Captain; Sergeant Richard McDonald was promoted to Lieutenant; Sergeant John Morella was promoted to Lieutenant; and Sergeant Joseph Spero was promoted to Lieutenant.
