Mayor Robert Parisi to Hold 'West Orange Tax Facts' at Pleasantdale Elementary School


WEST ORANGE, NJ - Mayor Robert Parisi will speak on Tuesday, March 11 at Pleasantdale Elementary School, 555 Pleasant Valley Way, beginning at 8 p.m. Entitled "Tax Facts: Understanding Your Taxes in West Orange, NJ," The mayor will give a presentation on taxes in West Orange. Residents' property taxes go towards the municipal budget, public school budget and county budget.

On Saturday, March 1, Parisi and the township administration presented the proposed 2014 municipal budget to the township council with a 0 percent increase in municipal taxes, the fourth 0 percent increase over the past five years. Following the presentation, Parisi will hold a question-and-answer session with the community.

The meeting is open to the public and is sponsored by the Pleasantdale PTA. Refreshments will be served. The meeting will be filmed for viewing.
