Who We Are
The Woodruff, Kingsley, Faecher team are citizens committed to the premise that it is only when the Mayor and Township Council work effectively together and work with the residents, volunteers, municipal staff, non-profit organizations, business and corporate community, along with School, County and State officials that we can effectively move forward and TOGETHER BUILD THE FUTURE OF BERKELEY HEIGHTS.
What We Believe
The Woodruff, Kingsley, Faecher team believes that the continued growth and development of our town cannot be done on the back of the taxpayer alone. We believe that we must seek to expand current and grow future public/private partnerships and seek alternative and new funding and revenue sources in order to meet the needs of our community and provide the services expected. We believe that the office of Mayor is the conduit through which residents and stakeholders can provide input so that the Township Council may take effective fiscal action. This includes the further development of a five year Capital Plan that addresses our aging and inadequate Municipal facilities, roads, and recreation areas. It means determining an effective budget to address these needs and consideration of all possible alternatives and funding sources to move forward in a progressive manner. Due diligence and comprehensive research has begun including possible land swaps and transit village designation. But to be effective we believe it is necessary to do this in an inclusive manner: appealing to our residents, businesses, corporations, landlords, school leaders, non-profit organizations, County and State leaders for input, regardless of political affiliation for their thoughts and opinions. We believe that we can only move forward when such input has been gathered.
Together: A Vision for Berkeley Heights
The Woodruff, Kingsley, Faecher team envisions a Berkeley Heights township that continues to have an improved downtown with attractive streetscapes and a pedestrian friendly quality. We seek upgraded Municipal and recreational facilities that are both attractive and safe. We seek public/private partnerships and all grant funding available to assist in these efforts. We envision what we believe all residents envision: a safe, vibrant community that continues to attract businesses and volunteers, a place that remains affordable for all residents, and a community where all opinions are sought and valued, and all citizens are treated with dignity and respect.
