WEST WINDSOR, NJ -- Mercer County Community College (MCCC) is partnering with the Miller-Keystone Blood Center to boost blood banks before the winter months.
According to the Center, more than four million Americans will need a blood transfusion every year. Miller-Keystone officials also note that donated blood can be used for premature infants, accident and burn victims, and as patients undergoing heart surgery, bone marrow and organ transplants, cancer treatment, and sickle cell care.
The Mercer County Community College blood drive will be held on Thursday, October 22 between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm at its campus located at 1200 Old Trenton Road in the coach parking at the Athletic Building.
Appointments are required. To register, go to GiveaPint.org or call 1-800-B-A-Donor; this Blood Drive's sponsor code is 9117.
