This story was brought to you by LP TAP in August, and is being re-run here to promote the sale, which will be held this weekend. Read more of the original story below:
According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, you will spend approximately one third of your life (about 7.7 hours per day for the average adult) in bed. Since sleep takes up such a large portion of your world, you would think adults would spend more time focused on the thing they sleep on: a mattress.
Those that have been putting such a purchase off are in luck. They can now seek out more comfort and support Methacton High School.
Bringing back a fundraiser that began last year, students at MHS will once again be partnering with Custom Fundraising Solutions (CFS) in Philadelphia to present the mattress sale.
Starting on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. the high school will transform into a discount outlet for mattress sales. With prices up to 60 percent off the average cost, this, organizers say, is a great way to get a deal and help your local schools.
“We are excited to announced that we are once again partnering with CFS Philadelphia to bring The Mattress Fundraiser to Methacton,” said a post by the sale’s committee. “This was a really neat fundraiser for us last summer, and we are excited for year two.”
Last year, the high school earned $3,841 in the fundraiser. This year, the sale will begin at 10 a.m. at the high school, 1001 Kriebel Mill Road, Eagleville.
