SUMMIT, NJ - Citing increasing business and personal commitments, Dan Meyers, the Democratic candidate for the At-Large Common Council seat, has withdrawn from the race.

"The Democratic Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank Danny for his efforts during this campaign," said Summit Democratic Committee Chair Terri Tauber.  "It is a huge commitment of time and effort for any member of the community to campaign for council. and then, of course, to serve.  We appreciate anybody who steps up to take on this challenge, and we respect his decision to withdraw at this time."
Meyers' exit leaves current At-Large Council Member Gregory Drummond to run unopposed for re-election.
